Sterile water 3ml
Sterile Water 3mL — Storage & Handling Instructions
Storage Requirements
-
Temperature: Store at controlled room temperature, typically between 20°C to 25°C (68°F to 77°F). Brief excursions are permitted between 15°C and 30°C.
-
Environment: Keep in a dry, cool area away from direct sunlight and excessive heat, which can degrade the container material over time.
-
Orientation: Store vials upright to minimize prolonged contact between the solution and the stopper.
Handling & Preparation
-
Sterile Technique: Always wipe the rubber stopper with a 70% Isopropyl Alcohol swab before inserting a needle. Use a fresh, sterile syringe for every withdrawal to prevent cross-contamination.
-
Visual Inspection: Before use, inspect the vial for clarity. The solution should be completely clear with no visible particulate matter or discoloration. If the seal is compromised or the water appears cloudy, discard the vial immediately.
-
Single-Use Protocol: As this solution contains no bacteriostatic agents or preservatives, it is designed for single-use only. Once the vial is punctured, any remaining unused portion should be discarded to avoid the risk of microbial growth.
Post-Reconstitution Care
-
Once WA3 has been used to reconstitute a compound, the storage requirements of the resulting solution typically change. Most reconstituted peptides or proteins require immediate refrigeration at 2°C to 8°C (36°F to 46°F) to slow degradation.
Warning: Do not freeze sterile water vials, as the expansion of the liquid can cause micro-fractures in the glass or compromise the seal, leading to a loss of sterility.
